I’m not even going to try abbreviating my guests’ names this week. It’s going to be a treat for the eyes as well as the ears, with Robert Cruickshank projecting and mixing slides and Super-8 film while various combinations of musicians make music.
There are two musical guests. One is guitarist Don Scott, with whom I used to play in a band called Methuselah—he says he’s still got CDs and will bring them to sell. They’re collectors items now, and handmade, so they’ll probably be expensive—several dollars even.
Sarah Peebles will be playing Shoh, and possibly recordings of bees. The Shoh is tuned to A430. I’m excited to see if it’s a noticeable difference. I won’t notice, but I’m a piano player; I don’t have to think about intonation.
